Polaris Sleep

Trouble sleeping

You can't sleep, or you sleep and still wake up exhausted

Maybe you lie awake for an hour. Maybe you fall asleep fine and snap awake at three in the morning. Maybe you get a full eight hours and still need three coffees to feel human.

You have probably explained it away as stress, hormones, your schedule, or just getting older. Any of those can be true. Your sleep is still worth looking at.

Trouble falling or staying asleep

Racing thoughts at bedtime, long stretches awake at night, or waking far earlier than you meant to.

Tired even after a full night

Eight hours in bed and still foggy by noon. Unrefreshing sleep is a symptom, not a personality trait.

A real clinician, not a quiz

You talk with a sleep medicine practitioner who listens to the whole picture and tells you what is worth investigating.

Questions people ask us

Is it insomnia or something else?
Trouble falling and staying asleep can come from insomnia, but it can also come from sleep apnea, a shifted body clock, shift work, medication, or an untreated medical condition. That is what an evaluation is for.
Why am I still tired after eight hours of sleep?
Time in bed is not the same as restorative sleep. Fragmented or low-quality sleep can leave you exhausted even when the hours look fine on paper, and it often has a treatable cause.
What happens at the first visit?
A virtual conversation. Your practitioner asks about your sleep, your routine, and your health, answers your questions, and recommends next steps, which may or may not include testing.

Maybe being exhausted doesn't have to be your normal.
